Gone are the days of lining up down the hall outside of JCPenney's in the mall to get that coveted Christmas card portrait. These days there are so many ways to frame your holiday and the choices are endless. Being a studio photographer, I love that with the quick change of a backdrop I can transport my families anywhere. I'm particularly impressed with my new backdrop. I say it's new, it's a new version of one that I had last year. I upgraded to the better quality and let me tell you something, you get what you pay for! The realism of this backdrop, the dimension and the colors! You could be standing right in front of it and believe that what You are seeing is the real deal. I had to prove it by making a poor quality cell phone video just to show everyone just how beautiful my cozy fireplace backdrop is. If I could leave it up all year I would. It just evokes feelings of warmth and happiness and makes me long for Christmas morning. When I was growing up we went to visit relatives in two different states so every year I had three Christmases. This resulted in Christmas being my most favorite holiday season of all time and to be quite honest with you I wish Christmas was every day. I'll settle for 3 months out of every year. I say 3 months because I begin offering holiday portraits in October and I don't stop until the middle of December. That's just how much I love Christmas and how much I want to share my favorite holiday with you. So happy Halloween, and happy Thanksgiving but boy when Christmas gets here I promise you I'm going to be ridiculous about it!
